{ABOUT}

My apologies to Casey Schreiner, from whom I stole the format for this section of the site.

UPDATE!

Um... this page has been updated. Read on.

So this is the section of the site where you learn about me.  On my last site, this page sucked ass, so I decided to go a little more in depth. So, by ripping off Deuce, I decided to make this section like one of those little surveys you get in the email that everyone hates.  So, from now on, if you send me one of those surveys, I'll refer you to this url.  Anyway, since I'm already stealing from Deuce, I figured I'd just copy the thing from his page and make modifications.  Sorry, Deuce.  Well, here goes.

Name: Justin Fredrick Aclin

Date of Birth: 9/10/80

Eye Color: Hazel (Green and brown)

Hair Color: Dark, dark brown/black.

Height: 6'

Family: Fiancee Brooke, Mother, Father, Stepmother, brother Jesse (18), sister Elora (4), cat Stripe (14), dog Pumpkin (1).

Home: I grew up and am currently living in upstate New York.

Occupation: I am an associate editor for ToyFare magazine, which, matters of salary aside, is just about the coolest job you can have. For instance, I wrote the word balloons for this panel, taken out of context, from ToyFare's monthly comic showcase Twisted ToyFare Theatre:

Yes... I get paid for this.

Education: I recently graduated magna cum laude from Boston University, with a degree in English, which is why it's surprising that I have a job.

Favorite Color: Blue.

Lucky Numbers: 10, 2.

Ice Cream: Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey

Food: Sushi.

Nicknames: I've never really lent myself to nicknames because I look so much like a Justin.  However, in fourth grade, in the secret society the Seņors, I was known as Seņor Sisi.  Don't ask.  Until recently, I was an active member of Slow Children at Play, Boston University's premiere sketch comedy group, where my nickname is (and always shall be) Hemlock Darosa (don't ask).  My AIM screenname is nonentiti. Currently, at work, my fellow editor Rob Bricken insists on calling me Jaqueline, which I'm fine with as long as it doesn't catch on.

TV Shows: My favorite TV show of all time is the Simpsons, but I also enjoy Seinfeld, The Tick, The Muppet Show, Futurama, King of the Hill, 24, South Park, Malcolm in the Middle, The X-Files, That 70's Show, Monty Python's Flying Circus, and many others.

Movies: I enjoy many, many movies. In fact, I own nearly two full shelves worth of DVDs, which isn't an internationally recognized form of measurement, but should be. I can't pick one favorite movie, though. My tastes run from film-snobbish (Rushmore, Brazil, Godfather) to stupid-but-funny (Billy Madison being foremost).

Bands: Some bands I've been known to enjoy are Beck, Los Amigos Invisibles, Ben Folds (Five), Elliot Smith, They Might Be Giants, Pavement, Soul Coughing, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and numerous, numerous others.

Hobbies: My big hobby is comic collecting, which I've been doing for years now, and have sunk much, much money into.

Favorite Writers: Tying into the above category, my favorite comic writers are Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore and Brian Michael Bendis.  My favorite prose writers are Douglas Adams, JRR Tolkien, Joseph Heller, and Robert Jordan.  Some stuff I've read in school that I enjoyed but haven't read enough to call it favorite includes Nabokov, Beckett, and Stoppard.  My favorite poets may possibly be ee cummings and Stephen Crane.

Career Aspirations: It used to be to be a writer, but now I am a writer. So I want to write cooler things now, like movies, TV or comics.
